Hello and Happy New Year!! Angel here and I can not believe that it is already the year 2016. I can remember when we were all scrambling at the fact that the year 2000 was among us! Crazy how time flies when you're having fun and fun is going to be our motto here on the Sparkle & Shine Challenge this year!
Before we get to the challenge there are few announcements. We had a few of our DT members step down at the end of last year so it made room for a few more talented designers. Please welcome them and visit their blogs when you get a chance.
Hi my is Holly Endress and I’m so excited to be joining the team here at Sparkle & Shine! I live in a small town named Genesee along the PA/NY border in Potter County with my Husband and two sons. I’ve been paper crafting for over 26 years and I started blogging in 2007. My favorite mediums are Watercoloring and Copics and a few of my favorite brands are WPlus9, Winne & Walter, Your Next Stamp and Mama Elephant just to name a few. I may have an addition to it all Ha Ha . I’m the creator of the Friday Mashup & Sunday Stamps Challenge Blogs and I’m currently on the Alley Way Stamps, Your Next Stamp, MarkerPop and Two Paper Divas Design Teams. Let’s get inky!!!
Hello, I’m Kymona Tracey. Who am I, you ask? I am a women who never slows down and loves it. Yes… I am the energizer bunny’s sister! I just keep going and going (which is something that I am working on, if you follow my weekly wishes on my blog). I am a single mother of two wonderful children who are 8 years apart. My 16 year old son is a true self-made jock who plays every sport you can think of ! My 7 year old daughter is a real life princess who loves anything crafty and girly and absolutely hates anything related to sports. Talk about yin and yang! …but I love it!! Besides running from one activity to another with them, I work full time at a hospital (public health background), facilitate a reading group at work, teach high school students on the weekends and have a huge love of learning new things. I’ve taken classes in photography, web design, knitting, scrapbooking and card-making. I love them all, however, my true passion is card-making. I was introduced to card making back in 2004 and haven’t turned back since. I started out as a hobbyist just making cards for family and friends. People were always ecstatic when they received a card from me. What they did not know was that it made me feel just as special to make a card for them. This passion pushed me into teaching card-making classes at work with a couple of coworkers who wanted to learn how to make projects for their families. In September 2013, I made a big leap and created my blog, Kreative Kymona. Besides being a mom, I think that this has been one of my most rewarding accomplishments. Just being able to share with my world community makes life so rewarding! You can find more on her blog at Kreative Kymona.
My name is Diane and I live in beautiful Lancaster County, PA with my husband Dave, son Connor, daughter Ali, and our cute fur baby Lola. My son is a freshman in college, and I home school my daughter, but with most of my spare time I'm obsessed with making cards! I started out as a scrapbooker when my son was born, and did that exclusively for 10 years, but then I discovered card making and I was hooked. I also occasionally dabble with painting and mixed media canvases. I'm delighted that Angel has asked me to join the design team here at the Sparkle & Shine Challenge!
My name is Annette Witherspoon. I’ve been married to my husband John for 12 years and I am a mommy to two precious kids who keep me on my toes. Before joining mommy world, I was a public relations professional for 10 years.
I am primarily a card maker who occasionally makes other paper crafting projects. I started dabbling in paper crafts several years ago - shortly after receiving a handmade wedding card. I fell in love with the idea of creating one-of-a-kind cards made straight from the heart. Five years ago, I ramped up my crafting endeavors when I started my blog, www.aspoonfullofsugarcrafts. blogspot.com, which is a play on my real name. A is the first letter of my first name, and Spoon is the last half of my last name. I have designed for multiple craft manufacturers. Most recently with Paper Sweeties and Eyelet Outlet. I’ve also designed for Stampendous Stamps, Sweet Stamp Shop, Pink by Design Stamps, Frosted Designs challenge blog, Joy’s Life Stamps. My work has been published in Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking, and ScrapStreet magazines. I also wrote for ScrapStreet Magazine, an online scrapbooking and paper crafting magazine.
